Warner Bros Drops New Wonder Woman Trailer

Over the weekend, Warner Brothers Pictures dropped a new ‘Main Trailer’ for its upcoming DC film “Wonder Woman 1984”, set to be released only in cinemas on October 2nd. The movie was originally supposed to be released on June 5th and then August 14th due to COVID-19 restrictions and cinemas being closed. At the moment, the release date is set at October 2nd, and we’re hoping it stays.

Unlike most movies that were meant for the big screen this year but got transferred entirely to an online platform, Wonder Woman 1984 has been announced to continue with the original cinema-screen plan despite the changes in release dates. The new date was announced during this weekend’s DC FanDome virtual convention, revealing the villain going against Diana aka Wonder Woman as Cheetah.

At the event, director of the movie Patty Jenkins alongside actors Gal Gadot (Diana), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Kristen Wiig (Cheetah), and Pedro Pascal (Maxwell Lord) also answered fan questions. Jenkins said of the movie and its cinema release during their session: “I really think the movie is so great on the big screen. We’re going to stick it out, and we believe in putting it in the cinema.”
