Israel & Gaza Are Bombing Each Other
The Israeli army has claimed that the Hamas organization carried out air attacks onto the Israeli territory in the Gaza strip, followed by Israel bombing the Palestinians in Gaza right back. However, the photograph of a bomb causing massive destruction in Gaza is unlinked with the current bombings.
According to the Al Jazeera news article, Palestinians attacked the Israeli territory in the Gaza Strip through rocket attacks and fire bombs attached to balloons. The Israeli army in return reciprocated through air attacks carried out on Sunday over the Hamas positions.
The Israeli army claimed that dozens of Palestinians rioted at the Gaza-Israeli border with the burning of “tyres, hurled explosive devices and grenades towards the security fence” while attempting to approach the fence itself as well.
Over the past week of August 17th to August 21st, people from the Hamas organization in the Gaza Strip were targeted by the Israeli army for repeated nighttime attacks.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted on Sunday, August 16th, 2020 saying,
“Earlier tonight, rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel. In response, our Air Force just struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza, including a military compound used to store rocket ammunition. We will continue to operate against any attempts to harm Israeli civilians.”
