Gigi & Zayn Welcome Baby Girl
American fashion model Gigi Hadid and her long-time British singer partner Zayn Malik just announced a few hours back that they had welcomed their newborn baby girl over the past weekend! Hadid and Malik have been together on and off over the past many years since 2015, and officially confirmed Gigi’s pregnancy in April this year.
Throughout the pregnancy, Gigi remained fairly active on social media, updating fans and followers about her Baby Belly growth while also working on the second part of her Gigi Journal this summer. Then, as September approached, she posted a few photographs from her pregnancy shoot that were taken earlier.
Last mid-week around September 16th, Gigi’s father, Mohamed Hadid uploaded a handwritten English poem to his Instagram that began with the Islamic verse of ‘Bismillah’ (In the name of Allah) dedicated to his grandchild and titled “Grandpa’s Heart”. Due to the numerous comments assuming that the baby had arrived, the post was soon taken down, but not before it could be reposted across the media.
The poem read:
“Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem
Grandpa’s Heart
Hello little grandchild, it is me,
My heart as happy as can be.
I wish for you the sun & moon,
I wish for you a happy time.
Know that Grandpa’s always near,
I’ll do anything, anything for you my dear.
When I heard you were on the way,
I smiled and wiped a tear away.
I cried the tear because I knew,
My heart would always belong to you.

Today, Zayn and Gigi both posted photographs of the new baby holding her father’s thumb in one picture and fore-finger in the other, announcing the arrival of their baby girl.
