20 years of Coldplay’s “Parachutes”
On the 20th anniversary of Coldplay’s first studio album ‘Parachutes’, English musician James Bay performed and released a cover of one of their songs ‘Trouble’ from the British band’s debut collection.
Twenty years ago, the British rock band Coldplay released their debut studio album ‘Parachutes’ on 10th July 2000 through Parlophone in the UK. Ever since, that one song and all of their following music has gained popularity, love, and fame throughout the years.
Over the weekend, English singer-songwriter and guitarist James Bay released a cover of Coldplay’s song ‘Trouble’ from their debut album ‘Parachutes’ for the Apple Music ‘At Home With Sessions’. Bay has been a long-time fan of Coldplay and even wrote on the album description for the Apple Music website that he prefers practicing and performing covers of their music. However, originally, as a child, he did not like their music!
James Bay released his first studio album Chaos and Calm in 2015 after releasing ‘Hold Back the River’ in 2014, which is a certified platinum track. The album reached No.1 in UK and No.15 in the USA.
Alongside Trouble, Bay also released ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, a track by Oasis for the singles At Home album.
