Sahara Sand Paints the Snow Orange in Europe
A change in the wind direction in Africa caused quite a stir in Europe.
Strong winds in the Sahara desert entered the atmospheric current; when the currents reached the northern peaks of Europe, all the sand got dropped back onto the land.
The aftermath was nothing less than extraordinary. The Alps, Northern France and Italy were covered in an orange hue.
Apparently, this isn’t an uncommon phenomenon; sand-covered snow occurs many times a year depending on the climatic conditions.
