Prince Philip passes away at age 99

The Duke of Edinburgh, and Queen Elizabeth’s husband Prince Philip passed away today.

The 99-year old monarch’s cause of death is yet to be revealed, but the palace confirmed news about his demise through a royal press release.

The Duke and the Queen were married for 70 years, and Prince Phillip had great health considering his age.

Prince Philip and the Queen had four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Duke was famously credited for getting Prince Charles and Princess Diana married, he’s also Prince Harry and William’s grandfather.

The news has left the United Kingdom in disbelief and mourning.

His death starts ‘Operation Forth Bridge’, a plan for his funeral that respects his wish for minimal “fuss”.
