Kanye West Announces Joining US Presidential Race 2020

Over the weekend, on the USA’s Independence Day 2020, American musician Kanye West announced that he is joining the US race for the presidential elections of November 2020.

This announcement has come around rather late into the race with dozens of candidates already having fallen out and supporting or endorsing the remaining candidates, with the only option left to West being that he could run as an Independent candidate since the positions for the Republican and Democrat candidates have already been secured.

Even as an independent candidate, the deadlines have passed in multiple states including Texas, New Mexico, Indiana, Maine and North Carolina while the rest of the majority states are still taking registrations till August. If he were to join a party though, it is unclear which one it would be since he has both supported and denounced the Republican party while Kim Kardashian and her family have been staunch Democrat supporters.
