Daft Punk Breaks Up After 28 Years

It’s a sad day for music lovers; renowned duo Daft Punk has called it quits.

The electronic pop duo was formed in Paris in 1993; the members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Man de Homem Christo brought the French underground house genre to the international charts.

Daft Punk changed the dance genre in mainstream music. The two were usually spotted wearing robot heads in public and kept a low profile.

Even after 28 years, the duo was still as dynamic as always; with chartbusters like ‘Get Lucky’ featuring Pharrell Williams and ‘Starboy’ with The Weeknd.

There’s still no explanation for the band’s split; perhaps their musical journey came to an organic end. Even with the band’s unexplained fallout, the legacy will go on and their music will be cherished for years to come.
