Alexa’s New Upcoming Feature Voices

Amazon’s virtual Artificial Intelligence technology voice assistant known as “Alexa” is getting new feature voices that will be available for purchase, and we just know you’ll love these new additions as much or maybe even more than we at Media Quotient Inc. do! Here’s a hint: one is known for the words “Jo kal hua, woh dobara nahi hoga” while the other’s well-repeated dialogue “And You Will Know My Name Is The Lord” is one of the most iconic lines in classic pop culture cinema.

Were you able to guess the people? Fret not, here you go!

Amazon Alexa is getting new catchphrases, explicit content, and even the actor’s own “Wake Word” for the already existing Alexa skill for Samuel L. Jackson. This includes upto 30,000 new phrases and the ability to switch on Alexa by saying “Hey Samuel!” instead of “Hey Alexa”. The actor’s additional content will include being able to ask him to roast you, with responses like “Why the f— do you want to be roasted? You really think you can handle that?” Another response would be: “I’m just gonna ignore that request, because if I really roast you, your sorry ass will be destroyed on impact.”

But that’s an addition to an existing Alexa skill. What about the new high-profile celebrity voice actor joining Alexa’s ever-increasing list? It is none other than India’s Amitabh Bachchan, star of the Bollywood scene for decades and loved by cinema-goers and Bollywood-lovers all over the world.

The announcement by Amazon for the partnership with Bachchan reads: “The baritone that has enchanted the Indian film industry for over five decades will soon deliver a unique voice experience to the many Indian customers who use Alexa. Yes, you heard that right! Amitabh Bachchan has partnered with Amazon to create a unique celebrity voice experience.” The website article that went up on Monday continues by saying, “Customers in India will be able to access Mr. Bachchan’s iconic voice on Alexa by purchasing the Amitabh Bachchan voice experience. This feature will only be available next year.”
